Welcome
We would like to offer you a warm welcome to the website of Holy Cross Church, home to the parish of Holy Cross and St. Luke's Parish, Harlow. The foundation stone of our church building was laid by Bishop Fey, in 1962, and the church was opened in May 1963. The church was consecrated in 1998, after a number of changes, and in 2002, Holy Cross and St Luke’s joined together. We are also twinned with a parish in South Africa, Regina Coeli, who we keep in regular communication with. We are lucky to have both a Parish Priest, Father Bernard Soley, and a Parish Deacon, Reverend Anthony Rowley, who both work hard to make the parish a loving and spiritual place to both pray and worship in a variety of ways. Below is a short message from the Parish Deacon welcoming you, not only to our website, but to the parish also:
Dear Friends,
Welcome to our website. Please make yourselves comfortable with the various sections. If you would like to add anything to this, or have any questions, then please contact either myself or Daniella. We are hoping this is another way to keep all of our community in touch. There are links to the various charities we support, detailing how you can get involved. You can also find the latest weekly newsletters. If you would like to be on our parish mailing list, then please email
holycrossharlow@hotmail.com and this can be arranged for you. There are also links to the cathedral parish, as well as the other parishes in Harlow, and to our three schools. We do hope you enjoy this new venture and we would be grateful for any feedback you may have. If you are visiting us, and using this to find information about us, please be assured of our warmest welcome, and please come and make yourselves known to us. At Holy Cross, we do not see people as strangers, just as friends that we have not met yet.
God Bless you all.
Deacon Tony
